An Evening With Chris Gunter and John Swift

After many successful events with former managers and players, the Reading FC Former Players' Association are excited to welcome two current players who will talk at the Tilehurst Royal British Legion on Wednesday, 5 April 2017. Book now for a unique chance to meet Chris Gunter and John Swift - two key players from Jaap Stam's promotion chasing squad.

Chris and John have featured in the vast majority of games this season as Reading have climbed the table, hoping to secure a play-off position.  Chris Gunter is in his fifth season with the Royals and has already made over 200 appearances for the club after signing from Nottingham Forest.  As well as Premier League experience with Reading, Chris has had huge success on the international stage with Wales,  playing a big part in their run to the Euro 2016 semi-finals.

John Swift has represented England at all levels from under 16 to under 21 before arriving at Reading last summer from Chelsea.    He made an immediate impact at the Madejski Stadium, scoring on his debut as the Royals opened the season with 1-0 win over Preston.  John has already made 30 Reading appearances, scoring 8 goals.

The evening will be hosted by former Reading FC player, and Welsh international, BBC Berkshire's Ady Williams. The two players will need little introduction as Ady kicks off the evening, before fans get an insight into life at Reading Football Club under the management of Jaap Stam.  After a break for food, a question and answer session between the players and the audience will get underway.

This event seems certain to be popular so please book early on the Association's website:

Tickets for the evening are on-sale for £20, which includes entry and fish and chip supper.  Doors and Bar opens at 6.30pm for a 7.30pm start.

The Reading FC Former Players' Association aims to reunite colleagues, former players and managers of Reading Football Club.  We provide a voice and help to our members, including, but not limited to, social and welfare support.  The Association continues to run as a non-profit organisation with any surplus donated to local charities connected to the Association or Reading Football Club.
