The Reading FC Former Players’ Association are delighted to announce An Evening With Mark Bowen on Thursday 29 September 2022, at the Tilehurst British Legion Club.

The event will give fans an opportunity to meet, and put questions to, Reading FC’s current Head of Football Operations Mark Bowen. Mark is sure to provide a unique insight into the game, and the club, having served as a player, sporting director, manager and now head of football at Reading Football Club.

Mark had a long and successful playing career, playing in the top flight for Tottenham Hotspur, Norwich City, West Ham United and Charlton. In the 1992/1993 season, the first season of the Premier League, he helped Norwich finish third in the table to qualify for the UEFA Cup. The following season he scored a header to earn Norwich a famous 2-0 away victory against Bayern Munich.

Mark’s International career with Wales spanned 12 years, earning 41 caps for his country and scoring 3 goals. Mark will have a lot in common with the evening’s host Ady Williams after the pair lined up for Wales together. Mark finished his playing career with the Royals in the 1999/2000 season before moving into coaching.

Doors open at 6:30pm, bar opens at 7:00pm and the event begins at 7:30pm.

Tickets are priced at £22 in advance.
The ticket price includes entry and fish and chip supper.
